Cyber Threats 

The threats which can cause damage or loss to computer systems is called cyber threat.


Their are Nine types of cyber threats.

  1. Malware
  2. Phishing
  3. Password Attack
  4. Ddos ( Distributor Denial of Service)
  5. Man In The Middle
  6. WAP ( Wireless access Point)
  7. Drive by Download
  8. Malvertising
  9. Rogue Software
MALWARE:- Is a code of miscellaneous intent having intend to steal data and cause damage to computer.
To Prevent-Beware of Suspicious links,up Date firewall & Update operating systems.

PHISHING:- It is a email request for personal/ Business data from third party to steal data.
To Prevent-Awareness towards specious emails.

Password Attack:-Is attempt to obtain or decrypt a user password for illegal use.
To Prevent-Usage of Alfa numeric and special character , Encryption of password.

Ddos ( Distributor Denial of Service):- Is flooding of the network by multiple network which result to overloading of site.
To Prevent-Traffic Analysis, Traffic Control & Recovery Management.

Man In Middle:- It states to online information exchange between end user and entity with the help of middle man. The loss of information during processing is called Man in middle attack.

WAP ( Wireless access Point):-The loss of information due to use of unsecured network is called WAP attack.
To Prevent- Always check for security of the connection 
& Invest in VPN ( Virtual Private Network).

Drive By Download:-The injection of virus by downloading of virus due to non safe surfing of internet.
To Prevent- Safe search.

Malvertising:- Refers to the security intelligence towards criminally controlled advertisement which redirects us to the malware address. 
To Prevent- Ad Blocker,Regular software update & Use of secure browsers for surfing.

Rogue Software:-It is a form of miscellaneous software which manipulate  users to believe user that their is virus in their system and need to pay for removal of malware.
To Prevent-Update firewall,Use of effective antivirus & General distrust.
